Solving Marine Problems/ GKAITATZI OLYMPIA, PRIMARY SCHOOL OF KARDAMENA, GREECE
The students of the intervention class employed an original approach to solving mathematical problems. After watching videos of underwater cleanups and litter collection by the "We Dive We Clean" team, the students solved math problems tailored to their age and level.
They worked using the Donguri
method; first, they created a visual representation of the data, which then
led them to the solution. It was an enjoyable cross-curricular activity
that helped students understand both the importance of protecting our seas and
the mechanisms for solving mathematical problems.
