Our Evaluation of the project/ GKAITATZI OLYMPIA, PRIMARY SCHOOL OF KARDAMENA

As April arrives, our program concludes with the activity "A Letter to the Sea," making it the perfect time for the final evaluation by everyone involved (teachers, students, and parents). Three surveys were designed (for students, teachers, and parents), which we all completed.  Additionally, we recorded the thoughts of our students and parents using Adobe Express and created these two videos.  STUDENTS' THOUGHTS   PARENTS' THOUGHTS Each teacher also documented their own reflections in the shared Google Presentation.   To conclude, we awarded certificates to all participating students. I would personally like to thank all participants for their cooperation. I am proud to have been a member of this team.

Little scientists in Laboratory (Project Magazine)/ GKAITATZI OLYMPIA, PRIMARY SCHOOL OF KARDAMENA

Taking the opportunity of our program’s final product—our magazine —we took on the topic "Little Scientists in the Laboratory." The students remembered the experiments we had conducted during the "Water Experiments" activity very well and wanted to showcase those two. Therefore, we listed the necessary materials for each one and the brief steps for their execution. We also wrote a short explanatory comment. Finally, we translated our texts into English so that the topic would be understood by everyone. Our contribution pages are now ready!

Our Slogan/ GKAITATZI OLYMPIA, PRIMARY SCHOOL OF KARDAMENA

The students of the intervention class worked with great interest on our slogan activity. Initially, we discussed and wrote a slogan in Greek. Then, we translated it and posted it on the MindMeister mind map. Our slogan was: “Respect every drop and protect water because together we value and save our future.” Once all the slogans from the other partners were ready, a vote was held. We read all the entries, and each student voted for their favorites. Truly, all of them were remarkable. At the end of the voting process, as the coordinator of this activity, I personally prepared an image for each word of the winning slogan. Our students took on the task of coloring their assigned word—the word "a" —using the Kleki tool.  Finally, we posted our image on the Digipad I had set up.  In this way, a beautiful, colorful slogan was created by all participants. What a wonderful idea!  Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed this activity, both in its implementation with the st...

Carbon Footprint/ GKAITATZI OLYMPIA, PRIMARY SCHOOL OF KARDAMENA

Image
This time, we discussed our carbon footprint with the students and explored ways to reduce it. We talked about our practices both at school and at home and suggested ways to improve them. Finally, we created a comic page using the Web 2.0 tool ToonyTool. The students chose an image of a bathroom with a bathtub full of water. After discussing it, we wrote our dialogues in Greek and translated them into English. We typed them into ToonyTool, and our comic was ready! The students show great interest in creating comics; this way, they practice written language, which they often find challenging, in a pleasant and fun way.

Project Song and Clip/ GKAITATZI OLYMPIA, PRIMARY SCHOOL OF KARDAMENA

Just like the other project participants, the students of the intervention class contributed to the creation of our song and music video. Initially, we had a group photoshooting. Using the Artificial Intelligence application Grok, we generated short videos based on these photos. Then, we selected the two that we liked the most. Afterwards, we wrote two verses for our song in Greek. We translated them into English and posted them on Zumpad to contribute to the final result. "Let's all learn about the journey of water The circle of water : it is a real wander."
